Professional experience:
Alec Gabbett is a solicitor with Leahy & Partners solicitors, having joined the firm in March 2008. Alec practiced in Dublin for previous 10 years, working with two commercial law firms namely William Fry solicitors and then for the past 7 years as a partner with the firm of Vincent & Beatty solicitors. Alec’s main areas of practice centre on general commercial operational matters for clients most notably employment law and liquor licensing. Alec advises employers and employees in relation to employment law, employment related litigation, the employer/employee contractual relationship and industrial relations matters.
Alec also provides advice to businesses on general commercial operational matters, most notably the sale of intoxicating liquor and the licensing of all types of premises for the sale of intoxicating liquor. Alec also advises clients on wills, probate, trusts and the administration of estates and is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Alec is also a Notary Public and a chairman of the Mental Health Tribunal.
